    Compared to Christmas, where traditions are often very strict in many families, New Year is the time when we get to do whatever we feel like. The trend is to eat fine pieces of beef tender loin and drink champagne when the year arrives, but people celebrate differently.

    I have not! It sounds like a very interesting location with the viking history linked to it. It's just a bit far from home, sadly. But I'd be happy to visit some day.

    I suppose I don't make the greatest advertiser for the town, but I wanted to show off how changing times have affected the town. What I didn't show were the villas, the new town square and the schools. It is a nice town to live in, but it does have a lot of history to tell.

    That's nice. Cause we don't hear much about students' debts in Sweden so I was a bit surprised. But it's nice. Was it easy though for students to get the loans?

    I attend Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. I'm not sure what part of the industry I'm interested in, but we get to go out on various ships during the education.

    This church was converted into a flower museum in the late 00's, and was made into a refugee shelter a few years ago. Not active as a shelter today since it was no longer needed.

    Yes! I have free university education as per Swedish welfare standard. My parents did not have to save money for my education, and I get enough money through the loans to still have disposable income.

    The old shopping streets. The warehouse on the last picture is still active. Most shopping disappeared when the town's center moved in the late 70's and early 80's. Another church far down the first picture.
