    What can we tell about NCTM's changes just from this? I'm not sure. Less explicitly committed to PD/curriculum/tech/research advocacy?

    Another tough thing was trying to figure out how accessible the math was to normal people who don't teach factoring difference of squares.

    I think the hardest thing for me was pruning math that I was incredibly excited about, but that didn't serve the narrative or argument.

    So it's unclear to me that CLT just would melt away without the evidence from self-reports of cognitive load or effort.

    Interesting perspective on CLT.

    Really? That's sad. CLT isn't exactly in the (very small) section of education research that is highly reliable/rigorous.
