    Day 5 'animal' - this is 'Cat I am Mrs Oliver 1713' who is a rather lovely earthenware cat from Lambeth.

    Day 5 'animal' - so many animals at The Higgins to choose from. Here is a rather amazing stuffed fish caught by Mr. Maynard way back in 1903. You can find this magnificent Tench on display in the Collectors Gallery

    Next is Chila Kumari Burman's Self Portrait chosen by the Higgins Young People panel who liked the vibrant colours & darkness. The HYPP said "It's a wonderful example of self-portraiture, the artist is able to demonstrate the cultural + personal influences that led to the piece."

    Volunteer Andrew Rodgers chose the piece, he says "It's a reflection on life and the way it rarely works out how you want it to. She evokes sadness & stoicism, looking to the future anxiously."

    The exhibition 'The Young Turner: Ambitions in Architecture and the Art of Perspective' is on view UK until 16 December 2018. It includes a selection of engravings after Turner, as well as the original watercolours that inspired them
