    It was indeed noble. Compassion shown by individuals & communities for children in danger is as necessary today as it was in '39. While we recognise with gratitude what was achieved then, I hope we continue to act with humanity to today.

    The way in which this country took in children after the Holocaust remains one of the most noble things Britain has done in my view, at least in the last 100 years. Not sure there's any way to sufficient show how grateful the community is for it. A remarkable gesture

    descendants have had a tremendous amount of help from & families often mention the lovely volunteers. Finding these records isn't trivial where so much has been lost.
