    ., yesterday you reiterated your support for background checks, ERPO laws & raising the age to purchase assault weapons. There are bipartisan bills in Congress right now to do all of that. Tell your Republican colleagues to send you these bills without delay.

    Many ideas, some good & some not so good, emerged from our bipartisan meeting on school safety yesterday at the White House. Background Checks a big part of conversation. Gun free zones are proven targets of killers. After many years, a Bill should emerge. Respect 2nd Amendment!

    Great. Sen. Murphy already introduced a background checks bill & Sen. Feinstein already has a proposal to ban bump stocks. Others are looking at legislation to raise age restrictions. , will you work with your Republican colleagues on the Hill to pass these bills?

    I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental Health. Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks! Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue - I hope!

    So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!
