    two years ago I signed PA's fair funding formula into law to bring equity to our public schools. Every child has a right to a quality education regardless of their zip code. Ensuring that all PA children have this opportunity remains my top priority as governor.

    BIG NEWS: Shout out to RHS senior and Top 10 student Meralis Castillo-Benitez, who was named the Berks' Best 2018 computer science winner. This is a huge accomplishment for Meralis, who started a coding club at RHS and plans to attend Penn State in the fall.

    What a great experience for our students. Thanks to for supporting the Steelton Highspire School District.

    First grade students took a trip to our district’s aquaponics greenhouse. They had a great time exploring the greenhouse and learning about how the plants grow. Hershey Master Chocolate Maker, Jim St. John, encouraged the students to continue to learn and be scientists.

    I was doing great up until the steep downhill right turn. As always I walk away with a new appreciation of our educators. + After the students trained me through the simulator, they have an appreciation of what is was like to teach a skill they mastered to a challenging student.

    Secretary had the opportunity to operate a dump truck via a simulator - and it was hard work! Unfortunately he rolled his truck during the simulation (don’t quit your day job, Secretary Rivera).
