I found it strange that Rick didnāt just wipe everyoneās memory at the end of season 3 to get his way and get rid of Jerry, like he had done so many times before. While the Ricklantis episode seemed like a one-off adventure exploring the Citadel, I feel like that situation is going to come back hard on C137 in the future. The series needed to keep real Beth out exploring and finding herself, so she could suddenly come back and save the day when it seems like all hope is lost and Evil Morty is about to win.
Just my thoughts on the matter, let me know what yall think!!
Edit: instead of down-voting, can you do me the kindness of replying and telling me why you disagree? I didnāt post this to try and say Iām right, but to get a discussion going about the possibility.
I believe he's referring to the family's turned affections. In the beginning of the season the family ditches Jerry for Rick without a second thought. By the end of the season Rick seems to be the outsider, and it looks like it pains him.
Presumably he could wipe the elapsed time from their memories, and revert back to a point where they revered him. But instead he didn't, and may have even let the Real Beth leave him.
Yep that exactly what I was referring to, thanks for the explanation!
So what if youāre Hispanic and voted for trump?
Cinco de mortar that wall, hombre
Is that Squirrel black, or am I losing my fucking mind?
Lol it very well could be. Where I went to school, we had black, grey and red squirrels all over.
I live in an urban area of Manchester, England. I only know Squirrels to be grey and red. This new information has now made me distrust Squirrels.
Donāt fuck with Squirrels, M-Morty
My child did this, he is autistic. Better check it out
Iām sorry to hear that. It canāt be easy sometimes
Well that's some fucking mental gymnastics. I never leaked while a mod. You were overwhelmingly supportive when BasAD leaked a shitload of modmail. If you truly thought leaks were bad, you would have demodded him, or at least not said "LOL HILARIOUS!"
Also, unlike the leak you liked, I didn't go running off to another sub to promote brigading and drama. And I didn't stand by and laugh while my colleague was harassed. That's a big difference between you and me too, among others.
"Leaking is hilarious when it's my buddy but horrible when it makes me look two-faced, like I am."
- Ergo, seemingly
Given how shitty and petty some moderators are, (yourself included) itās probably best to air all yāalls dirty laundry now and again. You donāt have anything to hide, right? š
Link to post, if you can still see it. Clearly the wording and picture are from previous memes that popularized the style.
Simple, intent. Much harder to prove a cop intended to murder a man reaching, than a man who drugged and raped women.
Before the world was globalized, it reflected the natural world much more. Would you fault a young, male lion for entering another males territory and beating him? Then killing any cubs, to get the lionesses back into heat? Probably not. I get its wrong, but as animals ourselves, until globalization, there really wasnāt a global consciousness of awareness.
How is the title misleading? It's exactly the claim the article/Fisk makes.
The doctorās testimony is consistent with that of the well-known Syrian opposition group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), which initially reported based on its own pro-rebel sourcing that heavy government bombardment of Douma city resulted in the collapse of homes and underground shelters, causing civilians in hiding to suffocate. [...] Fisk details the Syrian doctorās testimony, who is adamant in his emphasis that civilians were suffocating en masse, and were not gassed: It was a short walk to Dr Rahaibani. From the door of his subterranean clinicāāPoint 200ā, it is called, in the weird geology of this partly-underground cityāis a corridor leading downhill where he showed me his lowly hospital and the few beds where a small girl was crying as nurses treated a cut above her eye. āI was with my family in the basement of my home three hundred metres from here on the night but all the doctors know what happened. There was a lot of shelling [by government forces] and aircraft were always over Douma at nightābut on this night, there was wind and huge dust clouds began to come into the basements and cellars where people lived. People began to arrive here suffering from hypoxia, oxygen loss. Then someone at the door, a āWhite Helmetā, shouted āGas!ā, and a panic began. People started throwing water over each other. Yes, the video was filmed here, it is genuine, but what you see are people suffering from hypoxiaānot gas poisoning.ā
I didnāt set that as the flair
Edit: ah I see, Iāve messaged the moderators to fix it. It should be updated soon, otherwise theyāre intentionally trying to discredit a valid news article.
Yankee here. We shouldnt destroy the monuments that represent our shared history. Like bathrooms, no one had a problem until CNN told them to have one. This is just more cultural marxism looking to divide us. After the civil war we made peace. Confederates we granted veteran status even. People forget that most Confederate soldiers were simply defending their families.
My issue is not with confederate monuments, but about the lack of acceptance of what the war was really about. The south completely falsifies the story and causes confusion, all to try and retain power. People celebrate the confederacy and what it represented. That would be like if Nazi Germany had whitewashed what happened, said it was about nationās rights, and wrote history that way. Southerners wonāt learn that way, and this actually speaks to a large issue within the Republican Party.
I don't think anyone in the Republican party would dispute that slavery played a role in the war. It's a great source of pride since Republicans defeated Democrats, after all. I just think Republicans are interested in preserving the entire history. The dems have been so intent on projecting their history of racism on repubs that they pull shit like removing monuments and history that republicans (and centrists, lets be honest) actually care about. Repubs stand up to preserve history and blammo, they are the 'racist' ones. We healed as a nation after the Civil War - the point of removing monuments is to open old wounds because division is $$$
Itās not projecting anything. Republicans as a whole are racist. Look at illegal immigration, their treatment of BLM (not a terrorist org, funny because they called the Civil Rights Movement the same thing cuz they didnāt like what they were saying. Itās a fact that racism has been institutionalized into the laws of our country. Reaganās policies were designed to hurt blacks more than whites to reduce their voting ability, look it up. Nothing healed, the south was allowed to whitewash history and project themselves as the protectors of rights, which is the opposite of fact, per usual. They never learned, and thus probably still feel entitled as a result.

Where has their morality gone? What has happened in that country to make them covet these things so much?
