She is a member of the GOP. So it was the tolerant left threatening her and her family. Way to leave that out if the headline /u/addpulp
*I was wrong. I thought this post was about the black woman GOP candidate for Congress in Vermont being threatened earlier this week. My bad /u/addpulp.
Not sure if you knew this, but I didn't write this article. Most people who submit articles aren't the writers.
You couldnt add it to your title since your title is nothing but a link?
My title is the title of the article.
It's the exact title from the article, as the rule of r/news demands.
Not only is it the sidebar:
has a title not taken from the article.
It's the expanded rule:
Title not from article/editorialized title
Editorialized titles, written by the posting user or the domain, are not allowed. Titles should be unbiased and strictly factual. When the article itself is titled appropriately, the submission title should be directly sourced from the title or lead paragraph of the linked article.
To answer that question, correct, I can't add text to the title.

And it mostly worked.
I uh... work for a news network that does all of this. I noticed they were very progressive prior to the election and mostly do whataboutism since.
A lot of conservatives have difficulty understanding the distinction between “depicting” something and “promoting” it, I’ve noticed.
Bob Dole once criticized the movie Trainspotting for promoting drug use.
You mean James Wood doesn't have a vagina for a chest and gunhand? I thought he was a C O N S E R V A T I V E H E R O
Wow, you can own a gun and support background checks? Next they'll be putting pineapple on pizza.
I own a lot of guns and used to spend time on gun forums and in shops, but that community is atrocious. I stopped going to shops/ranges where I heard dangerous uses of guns ("after 9pm I always answers the door with my 1911 out the crack") or racism ("that n___ in the White House"/selling Obama targets) which means I ran out of shops.

When I open an app not in my dock, it adds it. How do I fix that?
It’s recently opened apps, like on the iOS dock. To disable this you go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Dock. At the bottom of the options, untick the box “Show recent applications in Dock”.
I appreciate it
Then how is the State bringing charges against an individual ever constitutional? This is the case in any criminal conviction. I'd like to see things work the way you're talking about, but they simply don't.
I'm not sure what "way I'm talking about."
The Confrontation Clause of the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that "in all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right…to be confronted with the witnesses against him." Generally, the right is to have a face-to-face confrontation with witnesses who are offering testimonial evidence against the accused in the form of cross-examination during a trial. The Fourteenth Amendment makes the right to confrontation applicable to the states and not just the federal government. The right only applies to criminal prosecutions, not civil cases or other proceedings.
If you're being charged with a crime, there's a witness, either to the actual event or to the evidence.
I mention traffic cameras because they are both the witness, supposedly catching you breaking the law though often malfunctioning, and sending you an automated charge, a citation for breaking the law.
You have a right in a jury trial to face the person that witnessed the crime. That witness is not a person, it is a camera.
I don't see why you're downvoting. It's a legitimate question. People are frequently charged and prosecuted with no witnesses whatsoever, and the accuser is the State, not any individual. If this is a "corporations are people"-type situation that circumvents the need for a witness against someone and lets an appointed representative step into that role on behalf of the entire State, then please just say so. However, the requirements for an actual witness to a crime, victim(s) of a crime, prohbition of bearing false witness to a crime (read: cops get to lie if they think it will help their case), as well as many other constitutional protections for the accused, went out the window long ago. Reviewing footage from speed cameras as witness to a crime is far closer to being fair than many, if not most, people accused of a crime will ever see.
You're being either dense or intentionally misunderstanding in order to be annoying.
People are frequently charged and prosecuted with no witnesses whatsoever, and the accuser is the State, not any individual
Ok. Firstly, I did mention other situations that are also unconstitutional. You mentioning more doesn't negate any of those. However, you don't make an examples.
his is a "corporations are people"-type situation that circumvents the need for a witness
It isn't. They have been deemed unconstitutional in some cities/states.
went out the window long ago
I mean, yeah, that's also in my original post. I'm not disagreeing; the Constitution means very little. They are still Constitutional rights, but those rights don't hold weight to US law enforcement.

but alcohol and guns are fine? wtf
"They must choose between their guns and medical marijuana." That is the issue, not "while consuming". You cannot partake in recreational marijuana as a gun owner in recreational states also.
No one said "white consuming."
This is a medical issue, not recreation.

Because then it goes from “police officers are abusing their power” to “police officers are statistically more likely to be rapists”
While the methodology is flawed, comparing the number of murders in the US to the population against the number of police killings to the general number of police, it suggests police are far more likely to kill an unarmed person than a random citizen.
Obviously doesnt make it right. But its a given fact that some cops are gonna be bad. Its only a societal problem if it's above the norm
That's unreasonable. We should expect better from police; if the number is comparable to the national average, we aren't doing enough to screen who gets a badge.
If the number if above average, we have a national crisis of corruption.
I suspect it's the latter; these people get into positions of power to abuse it, abuse isn't a thing you stumble upon as a cop. It was a goal.
Either way, there's a true issue, but you won't find a statistic for how many men in the general population are sexual criminals, and you absolutely aren't going to get a study of how many rapes are committed by officers; most studies of rape account for unreported assault, and for police, unreported means it didn't happen at all.
I could make 85,000 a year but eat out every night, buy name brand clothes, and go on all the vacations with all my different friends, but most importantly live on my own so that I'm now not making a "living wage". If I was financially responsible and lived by my means then I'd be fine but I'm entitled to the same stuff everybody on Facebook has because otherwise it's NOT FAIR!
Beans and rice are and they can get fine with that as well as housing even if it's section 8. You are not entitled to anything more. Sorry not sorry. Again, you make what you are worth.

It's been this way since 1968. You can't legally get a gun if you admit improper use of any controlled substance. Even admitted alcoholics.
I think this is one issue most pro-gun advocates and most gun control advocates can agree on; Marijuana should not be a schedule 1 drug. People should not have to choose between highly addictive Opioids or potentially being a federally fucked future felon.
This.
These people will give others hell like the man in the article, if they don't bow down to their whims or argue back every neuron in their pea-sized brain fires off and somehow feel victimized.
You could go "Please leave me alone, lady" and their response is "YOU LEAVE -ME- ALONE, I WONT TOLERATE THIS". It's completely insane.
As soon as their narrative falls apart(victim tries to leave) they'll desperately try to stir shit further, call the cops, etc. ANYTHING to get their way.
I had a neighbor do this a few weeks ago. I walked outside, there was construction on the sidewalk and road, it had been there for weeks, I walked towards the end of the block where I lock my bike; it's the nearest sign post that doesn't seem to be near what anyone considers "their" house (it's state property, but a different neighbor got angry about my using the one outside my door, I moved to avoid his complaint). She came out when she saw me walking, the construction guys were planting soil and such on the non-cement sections of sidewalk. She followed me down the street telling me how "stupid" I was for using the sidewalk and telling me I should be in the street (yeah, walking in the street, where there's also construction, smart). I simply said "I live here" when she got upset I ignored her and insisted to know what gave me the idea I was allowed on the sidewalk. She said "I live here too" and followed me to my bike. I pointed and said, "see, my bike, gotta get to it" and she started insulting me for parking it there, nowhere near her house, and telling me to move it closer to my place. I kept saying "alright lady, I'm not doing this, have a good day" and she kept following until I rode off.
If you don't let me de-escalate, and there's nothing you really are asking for, it's all about you and your satisfaction in insulting me.
I kept saying "alright lady, I'm not doing this, have a good day" and she kept following until I rode off.
One of the least-recognized white privileges is the ability to turn around and have a good old fashioned shouting match with a busy body.

Year and a day hired at different district
Yeah, you dunno.
Jesus dude, you went from "fair enough but" to "I have nothing to offer but insist I insult you somehow." Move on, mature.
You knew and admitted it was iffy when you posted it, why are you so bent out of shape that it got removed? I didn't report it or anything.
I'm not, at all. I think you're being a weird dink.

Gonna take pollution down to zero.
To take pollution to actual zero, he would have to destroy mankind.
I have pickle hot sauce which means fire and water can exist at one time. It's good.

Reliable source
It’s just a replica, if you watch the video it’s a batmobile being carried away on a normal street, not a set
I don't know what this comment is supposed to mean.

This is what happens when the artist the made Chik Tracks died and they have to do text-only
Why are we always hearing about who this unreliable narrator just spoke to?
Because the media, and reddit, have a fucking fetish with posting every thing he says and trying to get people to laugh about it.
Or, now give me a minute with this one because it's a pretty out there concept and it will take some suspension of disbelief, but maybe the guy frequently lies and the majority of the US, potentially the world, find his word suspect and laughable
I just wish DC could get a writer that knew what to do with Nightwing that isn’t completely stupid (I.e. becoming a secret agent, giving him amnesia, etc.).
Get in line, I've been waiting on Harley for seven years.
He always listens to the demands of employees when civil rights challenge profit
On eBay you can always change your handling policy to be longer. As for the scan, ask the USPS counter person to scan it for you. Put yourself in the Customer shoes, wouldn't you want your goods as fast as possible? I've been selling on EBay for a couple of years and never had a problem.
Sure, but
A. That doesn't help me now; my rating dropped and I couldn't improve it because I didn't have much to sell
B. People will buy from someone else if they think shipping will take longer, as you stated. A long handling time means fewer purchases
C. DC has a huge issue with USPS. As stated, even items that were scanned initially will sit at a station for days or weeks, be misplaced entirely, or never get scanned in the first place, even if you ask them to. I've been told they don't have time before. Whether they screw up before or after the initial scan, a customer will fault the seller, I mention the delay in an initial scan because it's the most common issue and was what caused my rating to drop. I used to keep a blog with USPS issues when I shipped more. http://myuspsproblem.tumblr.com
The BBB is actually a business and is not any sort of government or regulatory entity. It makes money by making businesses pay to get bad reviews removed.
They don't do anything.
Complaint filed
Complaint sent to business
Business responds
Three correspondences to remedy the problem.
If customer does not say it was, a strike is placed.
They can pay to change the data on an account.
