Music converter

I've seen a few pieces of software out there that lets you remove the DRM from music you legally obtain for a monthly subscription price. The problem is that they all look identical (maybe different companies reselling the same software?) so it makes it hard to tell which is the "real" version that isn't a fly-by-night operation. If someone out there can point me in the right direction, either here or through PM, I would very much appreciate it.

I like how cheating for money is what this person refuses first. Don’t want to feel like a prostitute, you know?

TTS new Telegram messages?

Does anyone know if it is possible to set an automation so that I can get all new Telegram messages to read out over my Google Home? I use Sonarr/Radarr to send notifications to my Telegram group chat, and it would be neat if after it found a new TV show/movie pushed to the Telegram chat, Google Home would then announce it. Is that possible?

Needing some pfSense/Apache reverse proxy assistance

Hey all,

So I am setting up home automation, and really, I should tackle pfSense as well as reverse proxy stuff all at once, and I'm running into some issues. So... Here's what I have:

- pfSense sitting at 10.1.1.1- Main web server sitting at 10.1.1.51- Home assistant sitting at 10.1.1.55

I currently have my domain.com pointing to 10.1.1.51. That apache server has a reverse proxy for 10.1.1.55 (SSL) so that when I access https://ha.domain.com/ I get forwarded to the HA server (http://10.1.1.55:1234) with no port in the URL needed. I love that. It works flawlessly outside of my network. However, when I get into my network, I really would like this exact same thing to work. So I have a DNS Resolver setup for "ha.domain.com" and it works if I put the port in the URL. However, I want the reverse proxy to work internally so that I don't have to change the URL in my app settings on my phone. Whatever I can access externally, I want to access internally.

pfSense has to be blocking this somewhere... The DNS resolver isn't fixing it. I enabled "Pure NAT" for "Nat Reflection mode for port forwards" in the settings as well as "Enable NAT Reflection for 1:1 NAT" and "Enable automatic outbound NAT for Reflection" and still, it doesn't work right.

I would eventually like to get subdomain reverse proxies for all of my port-specific applications on my network, however right now, I need to figure out how to make these subdomains work correctly internally. Someone has to have a way to fix this... I really don't care if pfSense has to work a little "harder" to translate external addresses internally. I'm not running a billion-dollar setup, and I don't care about a couple extra MBs worth of brainpower that pfSense would need to use to figure out this routing situation. I just want it to work...

It pisses me off when the lead singer of a band stops singing and lets the crowd fill-in during a live show.

Maybe this is unpopular, maybe it isn't, but after watching a live performance a minute ago, it really stood out to me how annoying it was when the lead singer would stop singing just so the crowd could fill in. When I pay to go to a show, I expect to hear the artist performing, not the drunk assholes in the crowd.

I’m pretty sure this would get thrown out in a court. There are federal laws that make this sort of stuff illegal.

I mean...are you seeing what the courts are doing these days?

Pretty sure we still have Jewish people.

My wife and I would often not be able to decide on what to watch so I’d load up Plex and look through there. We still couldn’t narrow it down, or agree, on what to watch on TV so I wrote a stupidly simple script that pulled all of my TV shows into an array and chose an episode randomly. It was stupid, and overkill, but it got the job done.

Why is the masked dude leaning in for the picture, if he truly doesn’t want to be photographed?

Don't fret. As someone with the last name Hanford (FootChevy of you will..), I can attest that a rogue D after the N is very common. ;)

With the last name of Ford, I get that “Chevy” shit far too often.

I can assure you it's real, why do you think this is so unlikely? That actually makes me worried if I lived something THAT out of the ordinary.

Not much detail in the story, random dude showing up to a random place and never fucking with you. You being a midnight vigilante and following him around with no recourse. All of it sounds off.

Really? Sounds like a pretty normal story to me. ”Midnight vigilante” is quite an exaggeration when he’s just checking out the creep and following it around a bit (been there, done that), and some creep ”never fucking with you” is also quite normal. I can mention several times I’ve encountered creeps like that.

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen. Strange shit happens in this world. This story, however, does not come off as being factual. Maybe he’s a poor story teller. Maybe he made it up. Whatever the reason is, it doesn’t come off as real, hence me saying it reeks of bullshit.

All that production and he couldn't even show himself striking it for the first time...
