Finally, did you know that the actor who played Draco Malfoy on screen was Sorted into Gryffindor, not Slytherin? Just wait until his father hears about this.

The name 'Voldemort' translates to 'flight of death' in French, meaning that the 't' at the end is technically silent. This preferred pronunciation was confirmed by J.K. Rowling.

Speaking of Salazar Slytherin, did you know that his wand contained a fragment of Basilisk's horn? The wand was passed down from generation to generation, until it ended up with Isolt Sayre - founder of Ilvermorny school.

It is believed that the Chamber of Secrets was originally intended as a discreet place for Slytherin to teach Dark Arts to his students, as the other founders would have disapproved. Just like the Room of Requirement, but evil.

There's certainly one man who knows all about these wands, the man who made them! (Disclaimer: not Ollivander - though he's not far off!) It's Pierre Bohanna: Prop Modeller for the and movies.
