CNN broadcasts decoy/double who left the Consulate following the murder, travelled to Sultanahmet Square; which allegedly dumped the belongings/clothes according to Saudi officials Saudis tried to use this to prove that he wasn’t at the Consulate. But didn’t work

They will never be able to produce a body because their people would know that they desecrated it. Did not give it a proper Muslim burial. That matters to them a whole lot more than DC intrigue, in existential terms.

Two things about this interview: 1) It’s notable that the Saudis gave their first access to Fox News, they really seem to see the MAGA crowd as their friendliest audience in America. 2) It’s incredible how shook Adel al-Jubeir comes across, which is not like him at all.

This asks us to treat the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia like a child and the probable fact that he ordered the killing of a journalist as a learning opportunity. It's wrong from both a realist and moral perspective.
