I mean...was I going to watch a show described as hostage terror movie inspired by a Dane who was a hostage of the Islamic State? I tried not to but then found out Dar Salim is in it...and I watch everything he does. Plus, I needed to know if he was reduced to playing a terrorist

I love Scandinavian shows because they use wide lenses, don’t try to sell you Vancouver for Stockholm and don’t insist on being in extreme close ups every time an actor says a line. Plus their writing is smart and doesn’t underestimate the intelligence of the audience...but DAESH

I just found out my call time has changed from 8:30 to 11:30...so I have time to tell you about this Danish show I recently watched, which was inspired by a conversation with a Danish photographer who was in captivity of DAESH for over a year...

So you’re saying the writer of that movie got his plot from Breitbart? Also concerning

Is someone writing an article on how Hollywood helps build racist platforms for racist politicians? Would read and RT

Dr. Jack Shaheen, a Christian Lebanese man, fought his entire life against Hollywood vilifying Arabs and Muslims...and here we are in 2019 with a President using a movie plot to rile up racist conspiracies against Muslims

In the movie, the feds discover that terrorists are being smuggled into the US by drug cartels because they find their abandoned prayer rugs.

If you want to understand the power of television, with one single episode the show Homeland established the prayer rug as a symbol of the terrorist devil. I knew it when I saw that scene and it has proven to be true

If someone is Palestinian with an Israeli passport because their land was consumed into the state the Israelis forged for themselves in 1948, they are still Palestinian. Their identity hasn’t been erased. A passport doesn’t change someone’s ethnicity.
