A heartbreaking, evidence-based account of an incident in which at least 20 people drowned. The harsh realities shown in this video continue to this today, & are still driven by disastrous policies that result in more deaths at sea.

There's more about the story of the village of Umm al Hiran in this thread, from April: . Our exhibition presents updated investigative material & sets al-Qi'an's death in the wider context of the dispossession of Bedouin communities in the Negev/Naqab.

Violence by the Mexican state in this case was not only violence against human bodies, but against evidence, truth, and the possibility of justice. For as long as the students remain disappeared, those acts of violence continue.

We constructed an interactive cartographic platform to explore the events of that night: . The platform reinforced what was already clear: police & organised crime coordinated in multiple acts of horrific violence against Mexican citizens.

Today is the fourth anniversary of the disappearance of 43 students in the town of Iguala, Mexico. Forty more civilians were injured, and six were killed. The continued failure of the Mexican state to thoroughly & honestly investigate is an insult to their memory
