Thanks to @docmartin2mc and @comicterns for confirming from DNA analysis that the female Eastern Subalpine Warbler on Fair Isle from 1st June to 31st July this year was albistriata (the most widespread and most expected vagrant of the two Eastern Subalp subspecies). pic.twitter.com/tFgBAVHG85

A count of 482 Skylarks yesterday was probably the highest autumn count on Fair Isle since 1995, with several groups seen coming in off the sea along our south coast. Where had they all come from in these strong NW winds?
