In Pittsburgh, Jews were targeted. We’re all Jews. Now in Egypt, it was Coptic Christians. We’re all Copts. In Charleston, it was African Americans in a church. We’re all African American Christians. More than ever, we must affirm our common humanity and shared destiny.

The anti-Semite who killed 11 Jews in Pittsburgh — and who’s being treated for his wounds by a Jewish doctor! — needs to know: He won’t scare us. He won’t shake our faith. He won’t divide us as Americans. Let’s all go to a synagogue tonight or tomorrow a.m.

Touched to get a letter from 🇺🇦 Foreign Minister following tragedy. He wrote: “We are deeply shocked & saddened by the murderous act...The world has to unite against cowardly anti-Semitic violence & hatred in all its manifestations.” We agree!

Amazing! With only 4 hours’ notice, 1200+ people, joined by elected officials & clergy of many faiths, came together in Westchester. The message? Hate will not defeat us. If Jews are targeted in Pittsburgh, we are all Jews. And as Americans, we stand as one. No one can divide us.

Let me see if I get this right. As a nonpartisan Jewish group, can we support the embassy transfer, Nikki Haley’s voice at the UN & doubts about the Iran nuke deal w/out being labeled enablers of anti-Semitism, or must everything this White House does be declared dead on arrival?

Much as I normally respect Julia Joffe, this is an outrageous, irresponsible tweet. To link the transfer of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Israel’s legitimate capital, to the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre is stunningly mean-spirited & obtuse. Come on, Julia, you can do better!

Death toll at Pittsburgh synagogue is now 11, w/ 6 wounded. Murderer attacked a baby-naming ceremony. Beyond belief, or is it? For anti-Semites, from Nazis to Hamas, all Jews are fair game. Anti-Semitism begins w/ Jews, but it never ends w/ us. Let’s stand together against hate.
