Yep, great performances by the two leads, and the film neatly sidesteps cliche.

And, hopefully, when people come up against legal issues they’ll remember - Banksy told us a story about that.

In 30 years as a journalist I have also come across multiple ways in which people have messed up, including myself, I’m not holier than thou about it...

And that is absolutely what my sessions are about. I could list statutes and cases, but people remember stories better and so the points they illustrate. It’s also a lot more fun that way too...

Lovely comment from a delegate on one of my training sessions yesterday who had been a bit daunted at the thought of a whole day’s law: “This isn’t what I was expecting, because you teach by telling stories, it’s been really entertaining.”...

How populist are you? | World news | The Guardian - I got most like Macron, least like Trump. I suppose I can live with that. theguardian.com/world/ng-inter…

And tbh, I’m not going to take too seriously the views of people who will not trust journalists, but who will share any old bollocks they find on Facebook as if they’ve discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls.

It is not a journalist’s job to be respected, put on a pedestal, looked up to. It is a nosy, troublesome, disrespectful job, always on the outside kicking over the traces, making trouble for someone or other...

Ha. Hadn’t even seen this, but it’s a regular part of my sessions. I’ve seen these polls for 30 years, always at the top, Drs, teachers, nurses, always at the bottom, politicians, estate agents, journalists. This is not new. It worries me not a jot... twitter.com/robing_f/statu…

Well, truth be told Frank, it was two fields over in North Yorkshire. They don’t like sharing their brass, or pots of gold up here.

Some of you won't have heard of Raymond van Barneveld (@Raybar180), or care that he's retiring. But in Jan 2007 he won the greatest sports match of any description I've ever seen against the most dominant champion in any sport I've ever seen

Facebook is giving £4.5m to fund 80 local newspaper trainee jobs across the UK. Which is interesting on several levels, including Facebook deciding to just do cash transfers to pay wages - and feeling the need to do it. theguardian.com/technology/201…
