Like many people, I’ve read Hansberry’s famous play, A Raisin in the Sun, but this book provided such great insight into the interweaving of her larger artistic & political projects in a way that taught me so much & gave me deeper, richer context for her work.

I’ve spent the past few days w/hundreds of K-12 educators & man teachers truly are some of the hardest working, most generous ppl on the planet. We don’t give them an iota of what they deserve & the fact that some have to work additional jobs to make ends meet is a moral travesty
