Fellow Robots’ CTO Thavidu Ranatunga presents LoweBot, a Jetson TX1-powered NAVii robot, designed to guide Lowe’s Hardware customers to their item of choice, via voice recognition or an onboard touchscreen display. LoweBot navigates the aisles autonomously, and in an often Wi-Fi denied environment, using cameras and odometry alone to find its destination. During off-hours, LoweBot helps store employees by tracking depleted or missing inventory with a high-resolution camera and LED light source, recognizing items using a Deep Learning-based classifier.
