CloudConvert (including API) can be used absolutely free! However, free accounts have the following limitations:
Packages are one-time payments and your quota will not expire. You can buy a amount of conversion minutes and use them whenever you like ("pay as you go").
Subscriptions charge you every month for a fixed amount of conversion minutes. Not used credits will expire at the end of the month. In exchange they are cheaper than packages.

The longer a conversion takes, the more resource consuming and expensive it is. Depending on this, our prepaid packages are based on started conversion minutes.
Every conversion takes at least one conversion minute. Normally, document or image conversions consume only one conversion minute. Video/Audio re-encodings or huge files consume more conversion minutes, depending on quality and codecs. Of course, only successful conversions are counted. You can check your consumed conversion minutes, to get a feeling about it.
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Yes! Your credits from the monthly subscriptions will be consumed first and then your package credits will be consumed.
There is an auto refill option for packages available. Using this option, your account will be automatically refilled as soon as your account runs out of credits. You can activate this option in the billing settings.
You can cancel your subscription at anytime. There is no minimum term. You can also change your subscription to a different plan at anytime, but your remaining conversion minutes will expire.
