I remember Watergate pretty well, and I don't remember anything like this level of journalistic carelessness back then. The constant stream of 'bombshells' that turn into duds is doing much more to damage the media than anything Trump could manage.

It would be better if all justices followed her example, not just this year but forever. The SOTU is inevitably political; justices who attend are constantly trapped between applauding, employing endorsement, or not applauding, implying censure. Both wrong.

Some good news today. Two Afghan students enrolled in my fall class on US foreign policy were trapped in Kabul. Today they attended (virtual) class and are safe in Bishkek where Kyrgyz authorities are generously receiving student refugees.
