    Still no estimate for when SB I-5 in DuPont will reopen but it is unlikely to be before Wednesday morning's commute. Recommended detour at this time is SR 16/SR 3.

    I live in a very rural area, outside McKenna, WA. But on the two-lane road in front of my farm, the cars are backed up out of sight in both directions. Right now, they are all sitting still. The tragic Amtrak derailment has caused a huge vehicle traffic mess as well.

    60k use this area of SB I-5 each day. - We don’t know when it will reopen - Expect major delays on alternative routes especially this p.m. - If you use an alternative route, please use extreme caution. - New wrecks will make a bad situation worse.

    Horrible Amtrack trainwreck in my area. I-5 S shut down. Train cars fell onto freeway below. Rerouting has completely choked backroads. Please, drivers, slow down for Yelm, McKenna and Roy. Roads not designed for fast, heavy traffic. Enough tragedy today.
