    His apology is meaningless given his long history of excusing Palestinian terrorists like Rasmea Odeh and Leila Khaled, deflecting criticism of Farrakhan, and support for academic BDS. He is sorry for being caught.

    That said, 's apology this afternoon strikes the right note, and crucially shows that he has listened and taken Jewish concerns seriously (rather than dismissing them as bad faith). It's much better than his initial Twitter response.

    I'm happy that positive things are being said about George H.W. Bush. Well-deserved. But when James Baker says on that he was the last gentleman we've had as president, that's just offensive. Barack Obama served as a gentleman for 8 years & deserves respect.
