I'm always fascinated by the line "we don't want to become minorities in our own country". Why not? Are they treated badly or something?

How many of the big-N consulting firms pedaling #agile “transformations” are, themselves, “agile” (or lean, or whatever) ? How many practice what they preach internally? Are they “transformed” ? Where are their own experience reports?

It bugs me when people oppose software design principles with pragmatics. Design principles _must_ be pragmatic, that's the point. When they're not, they're wrong, misinterpreted, or misapplied.

If I had a time capsule I would go back and call it “Example-Guided Design”. TDD is a terrible name for a powerful design technique. BDD is a less terrible name. They both describe the same process, at both the code and feature level.

The fact you got an example working says nothing about whether it is secure, compliant, resilient, observable, compatible with anything else, unless your design journey included examples or these. Which it probably didn’t. It probably had examples of behaviour for the most part.

Re. SAFe. Why does anybody on the planet think that adding bureaucracy, rigid process, and command-control hierarchy to Scrum will make anybody Agile?

If you feel like you have to lie to or mislead your users about what you're doing with their data, then you should not be doing that with their data.
