    If the course is marked properly, then yes, it's on the athlete. But if volunteers or signs are inaccurate, that's on the RD

    IMO At professional level organising body has a duty of care to make course and volunteers clear on direction-Athletes can only know so much

    I believe it's the athlete's responsibility to know the course so even if it wasn't well marked she's to blame, sucks for other competitors
