    I was so sad to hear of the death of my friend, David Azoulay, one of the politicians most connected to all the tribes of Israel. He faithfully dealt with the needs of the public his whole life, along with his endless devotion to his wonderful family. His memory is in our hearts.

    Today, October 16th, is the 75th anniversary of the raid on the Ghetto in . 1,259 were captured by the Nazis. Over 1,000 were sent to Auschwitz. Only 16 people survived. We must and never again allow anti-Semitism to have such tragic consequences.

    Tove Udsholt was only three years old when her parents fled to safety in . She was adopted by a family who took care of her during the war. Most of 's were saved in acts of personal heroism by ordinary people 75 years ago. We will never forget.

    Here in the attic of the church in in , brave Danes hid their Jewish compatriots to protect them from the Nazis. From the town's port, 2000 Danish Jews were taken to safety in fishing boats. We will never forget this act of heroism 75 years ago.
