    Thanks for sharing. These things may seem shameful & bringing them out in the open is hard, but it’s not a personal shame for me, it is a collective shame we should feel as a society for not supporting people. Systemic problems playing out in lives of the most vulnerable.

    It’s an academic paper so the style is a bit 😝 but may be of interest “leverage” or so-called “informal” coercion (terminology is hugely problematic) that is, threats and conditions

    This is very much a thing. I don’t talk about it much but when I had my disability benefits taken away from me (-for many months before a tribunal unanimously ruled in my favour), I did similar things for money. In desperation I felt degraded & in turn my worsened

    Thanks Em, I completely agree. Today was very complicated in terms of the bottom line message. I think ’s trying to simplify things and make the message accessible. Poorly judged. But we do need to work together and improve things.
