Religious belief in the UK has dropped very quickly. When I was in my teens & 20s, elderly ppl frequently used 'Christian' to mean 'kind.'

It is also a step in the direction of a secular humanist morality which could potentially make believing in 'God' redundant.

I shall nurture it. As we all know, the idea that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit is a scurrilous lie perpetuated by people who like puns.

Adolescence doesn't bring many positive character changes but I have to admit to enjoying my daughter's discovery of drily sarcastic humour.

I see people complain about how bad twitter is for discourse, but mostly that's only an issue if you behave like an asshole
