Radically changing how we make and distribute things

Digital manufacturing machines such as 3D printers are becoming the factories of the future. They enable consumer products to be made on-demand and much closer to their point of purchase, eliminating waste from overproduction and transport. 3D Hubs is accelerating this future by giving everyone direct access to 3D printers worldwide.

It’s time to disrupt manufacturing as we know it and open up the promise of 3D Printing to the world.

Providing over 1 Billion people access to 3D printing

We founded 3D Hubs out of frustration that the industry was not delivering on the promise of 3D printing to decentralize manufacturing.

In 2013 we started our mission to connect all 3D printers globally into one online platform and make them locally accessible. Today, we’re already providing over one Billion people with access to 3D printing within 10 miles of their home.

Connecting our global production network

The 3D Hubs online platform provides the easiest way to bring designs to life by offering local 3D print production in under two days. We check the user’s digital design and our matchmaking algorithms present the best 3D print options for them.

More and more brands are offering 3D printing to their users by integrating Teleport, our 3D Printing API in their apps. Allowing them to send digital designs to nearby 3D printers with the click of a button.

Community driven manufacturing

By bringing local 3D printing communities together, sharing knowledge and experiences, we aim to amplify an individual’s action to disrupt the larger systems that surround us. Its optimism in action and the belief in an individual's ability to enact change is what defines this Maker Movement.

The team

3D Hubs was founded in 2013 by Dutch design engineers Bram and Brian. They both started their career at Freedom Of Creation in 2009, the pioneering company that was the first to use 3D printing to create actual end-products. After the acquisition by 3D Systems in 2011 they became involved in the design and launch of their new consumer platform.

Fast-forward to 2015: 3D Hubs has raised $4.5M in investments led by Balderton Capital and expanded the team to 35 people.
