Here at Oath, we know mail and we know web portals. AOL and Yahoo created two of the first online portals that ever existed, and Yahoo Mail is still the second most popular email provider in the US. We partner with broadband companies to power their email and web portal experiences. This way, users benefit from gaining quality connectivity from the broadband experts as well as access to email and web portal experiences from the experts at Oath.

Browsers

Browsers have little utility without search. We work with our Partners to add this critical functionality to their browsers.

Building a new browser? Looking for a search solution? Whether it’s mobile or desktop, we have you covered. 

Our browser Partners build browsers that offer value for users. We help them complete this experience by powering the search functionality. In addition to traditional, typed-in search, we also provide ancillary products and opportunities, such as Search Buzz and Content Teasers, that can be complementary to the full browser experience.

DNS Search

Oath is all about the consumer experience. Partners use our DNS solution to help users get from a “Page Not Found” to the page they are looking for.

Ever get one of those “Sorry, page not found” messages? We know you’re moving fast and may not always enter every URL perfectly. But we still want to help you get where you want to go, which is why we partner with DNS providers. 

DNS providers supply that message and help you navigate to where they think you are trying to go. We help by supplying search results that relate to what we believe you are looking for, so that you can get to the destination you wanted even faster. 

Finance

Yahoo Finance is the #1 destination to track the markets and the economy. Our Partners ensure we have the best data and features available for our users.

Our finance partnerships unlock special features for Yahoo Finance users. For example, users can now initiate stock trades through the app and view the Environment, Social and Governance scores of more than 2,000 publicly traded companies.

These partnerships also allow Yahoo Finance to provide its users with access to premium, live-streamed events, such as the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting and original events like the All Markets Summit: Crypto. 

Local Search

A search experience isn’t complete without local results. When you’re looking for a business or service nearby, our local Partners help deliver those listings to our users every day.

Searching for a sushi place close to work? Or need an emergency plumber at the house ASAP? Our local Partners provide the local contacts and listings, so that users can find what they’re looking for fast.

The local results provided through Yahoo Search include key details, such as address and operating hours, as well as quick links to directly call or pull up directions to the business location. We also offer helpful filters, so users can filter by rating, hours, price and distance.

In addition to these local results, Yahoo Search also provides special ad extensions, such as Call Extensions and Local Ad Extensions to the sponsored search ad results, so that users can immediately call the business or map out the route to a nearby location for those listings as well.

Entertainment

We partner with leading content creators and streaming services to ensure our users have access to movies, television shows and clips online.

Love entertainment? We do too. That’s why we partner with some of the best media partners around, like Hulu and CBS Interactive, to bring you clips and episodes of your favorite news and television shows.

Search Distribution

Millions of searches are performed on Yahoo every day. Our Partners extend that reach by unlocking additional opportunities for users to search with Yahoo. 

Our distribution Partners help bring Yahoo Search to new and loyal users. Whether it’s distributing our search solution as a new default search set or homepage set, or powering a new tab or browser extension, there are many opportunities for Partners to leverage and distribute Yahoo Search.

Additionally, we have our own new tab extension with Yahoo Search and New Tab, so we have Partners who distribute this extension as well. If you’re in the distribution or download space, we’d love to find a way to partner with you to bring Yahoo Search to your user base.

Search in App

Our Partners help users perform searches while they are in mobile apps, so they can multitask and minimize the disruption of their app experience. 

Most users spend over 85% of their time in apps while on their phone. They often perform searches through utility apps, such as launchers or browsers, while on their phone. Additionally, there are also ways to incorporate search in engaging apps, like mobile games, as well.

We work with Partners to find the best way to mix searching with the mobile app experience. This includes our traditional search products, such as Mobile YHS and Mobile YPA, as well as our complimentary search products, like Search Buzz. 

At Oath, we have an all mobile focus. We are always looking for new ways to create rich mobile experiences with our Partners.

Sports

We partner with major sports leagues so that our users have access to the most up to date scores, highlights and streaming video available.

Yahoo Sports is one of the top rated Sports app in the US. In addition to original series and content, our partnerships with leagues, such as the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB, allow us to make sure our users have the most up to date scores, stats and highlights available.

As part of Verizon, we have also been able to extend these partnerships even further. Our new deal with the NFL even allows users to view live streaming of in-market and national football games, including pre-season, regular season, playoffs and even the Super Bowl, through Yahoo Sports.
