The timer is gone on stories so you don't know if a snap is unlimited or not which is extremely annoying. Videos from camera roll which are recorded portrait are shown in landscape with large parts of the video missing. Needs a lot of work. Battery drains faster than usual. My actual camera is better quality than the Snapchat Camera. The Snapchat Camera takes longer to focus than the actual camera.

I really do like this app. I go on it everyday on my phone, and now I can (attempt to) use it on my chromebook! I am interested in how it will turn out, but I'm sure it will be great. I love the "stories" option, too. It's really fun reading people's stories. I wouldn't recommend this app for people under the age of ten though, because some stuff can go down. Other that that, I would recommend this app to anyone. Also, if yo enjoy using things like facetime and whatnot, you can video call on here and use the filters at the same time. It's hilarious talking to people while looking at them with goofy hair and makeup, or talking to a reindeer, dog, bunny, and more. Last, there is a news-type section where you can catch up on all of the new things to know, and I love it. I hope this revioew was helpful, and ENJOY SNAPCHAT!
They refuse to send me a message back to fix this app ive deleted reinstalled several time even updated and it freezes for me while it works for others. It worked great at first. If they refuse to fix this problem or pay mind to service I dislike this app. If they can remedy the situation i would be sincerely greatful otherwise after this uninstall I will boycott snap thanks!
I am seriously pissed. I was always with Snapchat. I thought daily crashing and laggy videos were just normal. Then I tried Instagram stories and my life changed. I saw the light. If you want to become rich, short Snapchat in the stock market because they really don't care about Android users and it's unacceptable in today's day and age.

The new update sucks. Uses way more data. Its seriously confusing do you have a snap or is it just a snapstory? What happened to having the people you've just snapped at the top? Why push them back down the line to show a story I don't want to see

HORRIBLE APP GETTING SICK OF IT.. IS IT ME OR ON SAMSUNG S6 EDGE WHEN YOU TRY TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH FLASH IT'S ALL BLURRY. AND MAJORITY OF THE TIME IT NEVER WANTS TO FOCUS SO ANNOYING. Agree with most people here, not a fan of the new update and I love love love Snapchat!! Way better than Instagram stories. But the new update is very confusing, not sure how to view all friend stories now (looks like you have to search individually) and plus definitely drains battery like crazy. I really hope your customer experience team will take this into account, I know people like to complain about new updates and then get used to them but I just feel like the new update overcomplicated the app.
I think that who ever coded this for Android did a terrible job and should be fired and replaced by a monkey. This app consistently drains my battery life and glitches all of the time. Not all that, it will not process photos such as on Apple devices, it simply takes a screenshot of what your viewfinder is showing. This also gives androids a bad rep for having bad cameras when in fact they are better than apple.
Every time I open the app to check a message as I'm closing it I see the app has my front camera on continuously as if to record my face as I use the app.. I dont like how they could be using facial recognition software without knowledge of it doing so... it should open camera front or back "UPON COMMAND ONLY" USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
It is optimized for iPhones.....I have an LG V30+ which had a better camera than All iPhones, and on par with the new iPhones but snapchat only takes picture using 1 megapixel of the camer when using on my phone. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING is BLURRY....you cant even read pictures of writing/signs. Please fix and stop giving apple priority #AllPhonesMatter
The new update is so stupid ! It's so confusing since this new update has come out! I use to love this app and use it every day but now I hardly go on because it's so hard just to snap a friend. BRING BACK THE OLD SNAPCHAT ! then you will start getting better reviews. This new update is terrible.
This app constantly crashes and freezes the videos are not even worth recording Because by the time the app camera loads the moment is over. I heard they were going to optimize this app for Android eventually but until then I would stay away from it
i am currently using a samsung galaxy s5(smg900h) which is running on android 6.0.1 marshmallow.it has a fairly decent specs to support almost all the features of the snapchat.but why is it so that it does not even support sky filter,snapchat on android is so buggy. why cant you guys create an app that whose features are consistent throughout irrespective of the phone you are using provided the phones has sufficient specs.Please look after the same
I can never open my camera always fails! I Dont get notifications when I recieve snaps and my snapchat always freezes! Camera & video quality is terrible. My filters harsly work.FIX! Love ♡. I like how the filters are always changing but I wish there was a way where you can save your favorite filters that away you can use them over and over again even if they don't pop up.
Extremely slow, can't do landscape video well, freezes when swiping, crashes out a lot, and destroys battery life. And that's if I can open the app. After a crash I have to clear cache and data, sign back in, then it might work or reboot my phone. Just uninstalled/reinstalled and it can't access my camera then freezes upon changing screens by swiping. Stability is a hard 0, speed a hard 0, resource use a hard 0 stars. But it's Snapchat.
As much as I like this app, there seems to be a lot of tedious stuff that is missing from this app. For example, a refreshed mutual friends section or users you may know area. The mutual friends area shouldn't just be limited to a select few. After adding people, that list of mutual friends should refresh.
This app absolutely sucks at downloading multiple pictures from the gallery. For example: I have a story of 275 snaps and download them to my phone but it won't get them all consistently. Like it downloads 267/275 or 243/275 another try. I hate this.
No matter what I do the filters WILL NOT download. I clear the cache; close and reopen; uninstall and reinstall; restart my phone; make 'unlimited data use' ok for this app and I'm lucky to get three filters after the most recent update. Pretty frustrating not being able to use the app. Should I just call it bust and delete it or is there hope for a solution?
Some stability issues on my Honor 8, don't think that it does that on other phones but sometimes it crashes without any reason and then takes like about a minute to reboot. But except that it's a great app and I use it every time I have to text someone
With the new update it doesn't let me log in at all, I needed to hard reset my phone. Now all the sudden it claims that I'm in danger also my friends for some apparent reason. Just because "rooted" phone. -__- it was working before...... I can't even make a new one, what a pain......
2 steps forward, 100 steps backwards. This is the worst update yet. You have made it very difficult to view my friends stories with all these random "popular stories", i do not know nor do i care about these people. Please revert to the previous version or at least go back to having a separate discover page.
Every time I log out I can't get in for three days it's quite annoying. It hasn't been the first time either but otherwise it's alright the flash doesn't work on the camera and videos lag and crash
I used to love snapchat. Used it daily. Now, I rarely ever use it, because it's always crashing. And if it's not crashing, it bugs up like the keyboard won't open or not even an option for the filters, and freezes. This has been going on for over a year now. I don't have an older phone or anything, new moto g, so I'm not quite sure what the issue is. Seems to me this app is priotized for apple and apple only, which is truly unfair. You'd think that a company like you, would want as many people using the app as possible. More people, more popular the app is, isn't it better for you? So please, make sanapchat on androids better, at least to the point where we can use it. PLEASE fix this.
Is garbage on Android, very biased company towards IOS from what im seeing. The vast majority of the time the video lags & audio does not sync correctly. Needs popular dedicated emojis in the chat, rather than seeing boxes with question marks due to the difference between IOS/Android.. Congrats guys you took a straight-forward brilliant app & destroyed it.
I love using this app but the camera quality is just horrid even on a phone with a great camera. Its very frustrating. I find myself using this app less and less because of this issue. Also would really love some customization of the chat section for some slightly larger don't. It's ridiculously tiny.

Try adding live snaps and also quick switching between accounts. Can you also stop messages from disappearing? I'm asking everyone my previous message it's annoying
Its overall a great app. Its a big part of my daily life. But it has been acting up. It won't stay open for more than a few seconds. It'll close out by itself preventing me from doing anything on the app.😒😞
Needs more optimization. It drains my battery and makes my phone lag every once and a while. I also am completely unable to see some snaps or videos. Your app keeps freezing and crashing my entire phone
Not sure what the minimum hardware requirements are but Snapchat is the only app that I have problems with on my Nexus 5x with Android 8.0+. Recording video snaps are a bit of a nightmare even with every other app closed. Stories and other Snapchat content loads fine. Trying to capture pictures is arguably not worth it in this app for me.
The app is amazing. ... i love it But from past few days it pissed me off from it's unusual behavior. Whenever i open my app, it closes down automatically and give the "unfortunately this app has stopped" message... i re installed it 2 times but the error is still there. Please fix this....
My videos run so slow and i don't know why it does that... Every time I'm in picture gallery on snap chat it starts to go slow too... I have a android but my videos should not be running this slow or even when I make a video it's slow... Fix it now please
I give it one star because i have waited for a year to get the on going recording...watched everyone else enjoy it then i finally get.. Then somthing happened where snap was shut down for a day an i lose the on going recording.. still dont have it 👎
Recently my Snapchat wouldn't take videos and now it won't even open without being stuck on the yellow open screen then crashing... What do I do. I don't want to lose my huge streaks
I love this app. However, the friend emojis that are supposed to appear next to mutual best friends do not work for me. I was wondering if you could fix this problem. Other than that, I love using Snapchat to get in contact with my friends.
Honestly used to love the app but after a while I feel like the updates were not as optimized for androids as they were for iOS and it'd start lagging and freezing and also the new update with the story on the same page as snaps is really annoying it's not as straight forward. I think it's way better to keep the stories and personal snaps separate or at least provide an option to do so in settings. :( Really hope to change the review to a 5 star soon guys

Sluggish and buggy. I know they partner with Apple under the table but come on, make it so simply opening the app doesn't drop my battery by 5%
I live this app so so so much i go on and talk to my family and send funny pictures it also makes me laugh i love the thought that people can see what i did for the day and i can see what ever one else is doin and i love that they have a thing called bitemoji that u can create ur self in a emoji and then send it to people also u can put urself and ur friend in one and send it to people also the amazing filters and so so so much cool,cute amazing things
