About the Monthly Theme contest
Monthly theme is a contest open to everyone with a new theme every month. For each month a new judge with special expertise in the current theme is appointed. The judge selects the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners and the rest of the winners are decided by a public vote. The 1st prize winner is awarded one year of Unlimited membership ($239 value) and a new special prize every month.
About this month's theme
This month's theme is Mood. Creating a technically flawless photo is one thing, but adding feelings and emotions is something completely different. There are many ways to create a special mood in a photograph. Many photographers think it's easier to accomplish this in black & white, but as the mood category at 1x clearly demonstrates, mood photos can look in all possible different ways.

The guest judge is Hengki Lee. His work is highly appreciated both at 1x and in exhibitions and contests all over the world. With a personal and well-honed style, he shows how poetic photography can be.

The happy winners will receive prizes from NiSi.
