Very nice of @bonnienorman for spotting his post, contacting Tesla and making his dream come true!
What was going through your mind when you came up with that title?
I have the tendency to delete and re-write 5-6 times and then quickly submit realizing 5-10 minutes later. I prefer commenting on things over submitting, always mess up that darn title which has no edit button!

Truly an amazing story. Thanks to Tesla insider @bonnienorman for spotting his post and making his dream come true.
I actually find it quite dangerous. The torque isn't enough at a dead stop, could be too slow to get out of a bad situation.
I actually find it quite dangerous.
More dangerous than any Corolla out there?
Hah, yeah. I guess I am used to the torque.
Kind of a nice guy!
Yay! Lots of deliveries incoming before Christmas week factory shutdown. Trying to get that first non employee delivery before new years!
Don’t know about him/her, but I have the exact same configuration, and it is the best car ever. It’s truly incredible.
They said the same thing. The only thing they are having an issue with is a crackling sound while on a phone call over Bluetooth.

!vinbot Model 3 #925
Saw a Model 3 today and got a full tour of the interior. I thought the Model 3 was boring and flat inside.
I think there's a lot less people buying the LR+Premium then initially expected.
I think they haven't sent out many invites yet. Seems a little random the way they are doing it.
Owner, Northern California, wait in line reservation and no configuration invite yet (and want the LR)
I'm really, REALLY trying to stay chill and be positive, but they explicitly said that you are only supposed to get priority for one order per S or X you own. They're fucking over people who waited in line and owned a Tesla at the time they made the reservation in favor of just giving people the ability to snag multiple 15% discounts on their car.
Does this affect me directly? Not really, other than the fact that I don't think people should be getting to order a second car before all the day 1 people get to order their first so it's slowing me down a bit. But I think there's some explaining they have to do.
Same with owners who are using relative/friend addresses near Fremont to get early configurations
Just updated, same release notes as 46.
Bummer, no auto wipers! Elon said we'd get it before Christmas 😢
Tldw; no new AP changes. Chill mode
The hype is going to drown out the EV credit rhetoric over the next few months.
Even if half of the reservations canceled they still would have more than enough to match supply with a sale immediately for the near future (12 months)
By the time that happens the EV credit would have been gone anyways.
$35k without the credit is still in a market of it's own w/ Tesla tech & supercharging network. People will spend more.
If you build it, they will come.
Hate to be a downer. That’s an ideals person speaking. Frankly those idiots voting third party to send a message are also idealists. While I share those SAME ideals I live in the real fucking world. That money made the gap work. Without it it doesn’t make financial sense. It doesn’t matter how “better” that picture is... you aren’t making up the gap in finances with your ideals post. So spare me unless you are dropping a personal check in the mail.
More so for car manufacturers with no skin in the game. Gonna widen the gap with Tesla and the rest at least. RIP Nissan Leaf

Totally agree, Tesla isn't at the leading edge in FSD. What's interesting to me is I wonder if GM would have pursued either EV or FSD tech had Tesla not emerged as a disruptor. I feel like these technologies got fast forwarded by at least a decade thanks to the threat that a new player might get there first. What's more interesting is that Tesla might learn a lot from GM'S implementation to assist them in making their FSD tech even better. Hats off to GM, they have realized that the future won't have a place for any auto maker that's not willing to consider a radical change to the role it plays.
Sure you can get a car to drive itself with 500 lbs of cameras and computers costing $500k but Tesla HW 2 tech definitely does not pale in comparison. Put both software stacks up side by side and both are very, very advanced. One is production limited by safety constraints and large volume (hw2) and the other is low volume test mules that can run beta software (GM)
Lidar doesn't work in the rain, fog, or snow.
E: Slide #67. The Bolt has 40 sensors. This drives up parts & manufacturing cost and makes the AI more complex. And it's fugly.
GM is doing a throw-everything-at-the-wall-and-see-what-stick approach, while Tesla is designing what they think the final form will be.
GM might have AVs before Tesla because they are taking the easy route, but Tesla might be first with the most elegant solution because they are taking the more difficult route.
Yep people need to realize these are 2 very differently built autonomous systems. Tesla is image processing neural network vs lidar object NN.
Model 3 isn't $35k.. yet
Liar, hater, short seller. Elon can do no wrong. We are all Negan Elon.
If Tesla says 35k even though they are not even shipping that one yet and maybe never will and it is almost impossible to get it for that price anyways, then it's true because...shut up that's why.
You good bud?
You can't bring such quality levels so fast. It's cultural and that's why Japanese, Koreans, Swedes and Germans are considered to have the best finished cars in the market.
Reliability is my main worry about Model 3... after production naturally.
Until you get rear ended and you are out of a car for 3 months
3 Months of driving a loaner Tesla isn't such a bad thing, they've been handing out P100Ds as loaners in both S and X format.
You don't get a loaner if your car is in the body shop.
Loaners are for service only.
Autopilot vs no autopilot, what's the difference?
This sub is so desperate for content that could maybe possibly be some tidbit first glance at something important. It's actually quite admirable honestly. Even all of the troll submissions get 20+ comments lol
Yayyy, Victoria road trip incoming!
I love Mason. He has so much swagger out there.
He doesn't have a single bad minute this season
Rather it be client side than server side...
