    If you go to the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, as I did as a young lieutenant at Fort Drum, you’ll discover all kinds of jingoistic accounts of how Canada kicked our asses in the War of 1812. (All I’m saying is that we Tennesseans got the job done in New Orleans...)

    It's even worse than that. The legal obligation is actually on the US Government to give fair consideration of their asylum claim and offer refuge if the claim meets the test.

    It's really hard to do justice how unbelievably awful this interview with Jeff Sessions is. He says we shouldn't treat immigrants with "immunity" but he includes people who are literally trying to enter the country legally by seeking asylum
