As Labor said months ago: to avoid challenges to his decisions, Joyce should’ve stepped down the moment his eligibility was in doubt.

Massive day in Australian political history and PM🎩 took one single question. Arrogant. Refuses to be accountable.

Joyce broke the law and as a result, we now have a minority government. Turnbull should've stood him aside, terrible judgement once again.

  11. It's an extraordinary lapse of judgement from the PM, and extraordinary omission from Barnaby Joyce that he knew he wasn't eligible.

  12. The vote to defend the penalty rates of 700,000 Australians was lost by one vote. Barnaby Joyce was ineligible when he voted.

  13. Extraordinary that the PM would be assuming what the High Court would find and turn out to be utterly wrong in his assumptions.

  14. Malcolm Turnbull stood in Parliament and said that he was absolutely confident that Joyce was eligible to be a Member of Parliament.

  15. Every decision made by Barnaby Joyce and Fiona Nash since October last year is under a legal cloud.

  16. Labor regrets that the Prime Minister chose to keep two of his Cabinet ministers, Barnaby Joyce and Fiona Nash, in their positions.

  17. Bye Barnaby. 🙋
