Tomy Mr Money Google AIY Assistant @Raspberry_Pi #PiDay #RaspberryPi
https://blog.adafruit.com/2017/11/24/tomy-mr-money-google-aiy-assistant-raspberry_pi-piday-raspberrypi/
Fantastic build and write-up from CIRCUITBEARD.
If you are a regular MagPi magazine subscriber, you’ll know in issue 57 they had their most popular giveaway with the Google AIY Project Voice Kit. Unfortunately, I was one of those unlucky people not to get my hands one. After seeing all the fun everyone was having on twitter though, I decided to do what I do best and make my own. Now, if you know me at all by now, you know I like my retro tech, so for this project, rather than just creating a plain old box for it I decided to repurpose another beloved 80s toy of mine, my Mr Money moneybox. The result? Hilarious 😀

Reviving an Old Sony Vaio with a Raspberry Pi and a Teensy #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi
https://blog.adafruit.com/2017/11/24/reviving-an-old-sony-vaio-with-a-raspberry-pi-and-a-teensy-piday-raspberrypi-raspberry_pi/
Have an old laptop you want to bring back to life? Checkout this project from Hackster.io:
If a laptop is past a certain age when something like a motherboard fails, it’s generally not even worth repairing. Most of us just salvage what we can: the memory, the hard drive, maybe the battery. But with the rise of small computers like the Raspberry Pi, it’s now possible to rejuvenate a broken laptop affordably.

Servo Controlled Time-Lapse Camera @Raspberry_Pi #PiDay #RaspberryPi
https://blog.adafruit.com/2017/11/24/servo-controlled-time-lapse-camera-raspberry_pi-piday-raspberrypi/
Made by Bjarke Gotfredsen via hackster.io
For our HAB mission, we created a servo controlled camera running on a RasPi Zero and using ☒CHIPs to control/drive a servo.
Using the RasPi Zero with the PIcamera, a Servo and the OC05 Servo Driver/Controller, you can shoot a panning time-lapse video.

Exploring the Paradox of Social Interactions with Schrodinger’s Boxes #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi
https://blog.adafruit.com/2017/11/24/exploring-the-paradox-of-social-interactions-with-schrodingers-boxes-piday-raspberrypi-raspberry_pi/
From Josephine Leong on vimeo:
The installation depict the paradox of social anxiety in 5 different scenarios, with actors in the videos reacting to the audience when they approach.
The viewer sees the actors behaving normally from a distance. As the viewer approaches to see what the actors are doing, the videos change with the actors reacting to the viewer where they put on a different ‘face’.

Adafruit: The Pi Cap Fetch Machine #Raspberrypi - Via Bareconductive This time we got a community project from Yannik Brändle. Yannik already has a collection of robots and streams them on letsrobot.tv. He was asked by the community if he could build a robot that launches a ping-pong ball, fetches it and launches the ball again. Yannik used our Pi Cap and Electric Paint to realise this request. The first step was to build the accelerator head. For this, two DC motors were prepared with jump...
