I forgot to mention in this chat: journalism is *NOT* just news reporting! A J-school must educate students for: —Op-Ed writing —Audio podcasting — Doc filmmaking —Cartooning — Feature writing, etc. And LGBTQ studies are SO important to culture writing journalism!

When people say to me “I don’t see people of color” or “I don’t see Black people” at X event they are generally not people of color. We are generally not invisible to each other.
