Agree. There’s still some coursework in A levels but largely reduced e.g. in English from 40 to 20% in last round of reform.

The new GCSEs are a travesty, given that they include no coursework component. I don't think we academics are fully prepared for the students who are going to cross our thresholds in two years' time who have had little long term training in sustained, assessed writing & research.
