The playwright decides to memorize all the volumes of the encyclopedia and so far has memorized A thru Q (?). He then tells them that the machine prints out a short list of rules: Thou shall not kill, thou shall not covet, etc.

@theatrelibassn many years ago I saw television play that happens in a bar. There is a playwright who goes to the patrons and bets he can answer any question they have as long as the answer is between the letters A and Q (maybe). If he gets it right the patron buys him a drink.
