You also said that "government's legal aid telephone service handled more than 20,000 instances of advice last year" including housing. Only 'Debt' (mortgage possession) can be dealt with by the phone advice. Precisely 500 matters in 2016/17. Down from 17,569 pre LASPO.

Hi @lucyfrazermp In the Housing legal aid debate yesterday, you said "The government spent nearly £100m on early legal advice across all relevant categories, including housing, last year". I don't see how that can be the case as there is no housing legal aid for early advice.
