but this also sorta gets at the weird logical conundrum that deregulatory-minded republicans face -- they're kinda caught between this "yea regulate tech it's the wild west" rock and "wait the ideas we like best would be heavy handed regulation" hard place.

In doing so, he's probably opening himself to a whole debate on a) his agency's handling of ISP-side privacy rules, which got scrapped and b) continued criticism that anti-conservative bias charges are not new and instead are just 2018 election fodder.

On one hand, Rep. Walden, the chair of the cmte that will question Dorsey on conservative bias, said he didn't want to go the subpoena route and hoped Google would testify on its own accord.
