We took over the Rondebosch Golf Course because it’s unfair that the leases our best land for R1000 a year. MayCo member for housing, Malusi Booi makes no sense. It's clear the City does not even have a basic plan to redistribute land

Members of have arrived at the Rondebosch golf course to occupy this land. How is such a big piece of land leased for R1000 a year just for golf while we have a housing crisis?

Housing is a human right! This is why on we have occupied Rondebosch golf course. This land is owned by the city and is leased to the golf club for R1000 a yea a year! It is the size of 45 rugby fields. We say this land should be used for housing!
