This morning, as we began the process of resuming normal operations, I spent a bit of time welcoming folks back. I saw a ton of smiles as people headed into work - your enthusiasm for resuming work and reconnecting with your colleagues is fantastic!

We will resume operations today. Byrd Visitor Center will be open tomorrow 9:30 – 4:00. Winter restrooms are open and entrance station staff on duty tomorrow. Thanks to our partners and community. We’re happy to be back!

The staff of Big Thicket National Preserve is pleased to be back in the park welcoming visitors from around the world. The preserve Visitor Center opened this morning and has resumed normal operating hours (9 am to 5 pm, daily).
