Ok so we have our website done in wix, it has become more and more obvious the limitations of wix and how bad it is at SEO. What i want to do is build an exact copy of what i have on wix to wordpress so when im ready to transfer is will be seamless. Is this possible?

The documentation @moodyblerd linked to explains how to migrate content from Wix to WordPress.com.
We don't currently accept incoming domain transfers. If you'd like to continue using your existing domain, it can be connected to a WordPress.com site with domain mapping:

Domain mapping is a feature of all paid plans — Personal, Premium and Business. Each of these plans includes a free domain credit which you can use to map a domain you already own (or register a new one).
The design/theme you are currently using on Wix can't be transferred as it isn't compatible with WordPress.com sites. But the good news is we have lots of themes to choose from:
