  1. New podcast! Talking "Arrival," "Loving," "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" "Short Term 12." Come escape with us.

  2. REVIEW: "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk." Yes, we saw the fancy 120fps version of Ang Lee's movie. And we liked it.

  3. We remind everyone to subscribe to us in iTunes and give us a movie to discuss in our Reboot section.

  4. New podcast! Talking "Doctor Strange," "Hacksaw Ridge" and "Snatch."

  5. REVIEW: "Loving." A gentle, muted look at the small ways that racism ruins lives. But maybe tasteful to a fault.

  6. REVIEW: "Doctor Strange." As ambitious as a Marvel movie can get anymore ... which is not actually that ambitious.

  7. REVIEW: "Hacksaw Ridge." Andrew Garfield is great, but Mel Gibson's simpleminded World War II story disappoints.

  8. New podcast! Talking "Inferno," "Bottle Rocket" and, mostly, the greatest of Quentin Tarantino's "Jackie Brown."

  9. REVIEW: "Inferno." Yes, it's totally dopey. But it's also kinda fascinating nonsense.

  10. New podcast! Discussing "Moonlight," "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back," "American Pastoral" and "Weekend at Bernie's."

  11. REVIEW: "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back." Tom Cruise's off-brand "Mission: Impossible" series lacks much inspiration.

  12. REVIEW: "Moonlight." This is one of the best movies of the year and you should go see it immediately.

  13. New podcast! Discussing "The Accountant," "Certain Women," "Christine" and "Pink Floyd: The Wall." Plus Dylan talk.

  14. We forgot to send out the link to our review of "The Accountant." It is not a very good movie.

  15. REVIEW: "Christine." Rebecca Hall gives an astounding performance in a very sad film about a troubled woman.

  16. REVIEW: "Certain Women." If you haven't gotten on filmmaker Kelly Reichardt's bandwagon yet, now's the time.

  17. New podcast! Talking "The Birth of a Nation," "The Girl on the Train," "Newtown" and "L.A. Confidential."

  18. REVIEW: "The Girl on the Train." A total mess, a complete misunderstanding of how to adapt a pageturner to screen.

  19. REVIEW: "The Birth of a Nation." As a biopic, it's just OK. As a film about our times, it's pretty damn gripping.

  20. REVIEW: "Newtown." Moving, but keeps such a respectful distance that it can't help but feel too removed.
