Even the argument "this happened before he was Secretary" doesn't hold water. A federal judge found in February 2019 that the plea deal Acosta agreed to was illegal; at worst, you can argue this is a "new fact" that was not known at his confirmation and demands his impeachment.

Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Who cares if the Senate won't remove Acosta (or, for that matter, Trump)? Impeachment is about accountability and transparency. Acosta literally shielded a child-rapist; if that's not impeachable conduct, *nothing* is.

Noteworthy from the SDNY bail memo on Epstein: Florida prosecutors not only knew Epstein was a sexual predator but also that he harassed & intimidated the victims & their families to stop them from testifying. No federal prosecutor should let conduct like that go. Acosta did.

My recollection is, we helped to elect a Democratic surge to the House *because* we wanted them to hold this administration accountable. Not just as a stop-gap measure but as an active entity pursuing justice and accountability. Is this just a politically craven age?

SIXTY Senators voted to confirm Alex Acosta as Labor Secretary in 2017 though the record was clear he most likely authorized an illegal plea deal for Jeffrey Epstein in 2007. Not a single Senator who voted to confirm him has demanded he resign.

Imagine being one of Epstein's victims who was victimized again by Alex Acosta's actions in 2007... and then seeing Acosta nominated 9 years later to be Labor Secretary... and 60 Senators voting to confirm him. It's incomprehensible.

This is Alex Acosta, current Labor Secretary. In late 2007, he authorized an illegal plea deal with Jeffrey Epstein that threw Epstein's victims—who were children—under the bus. If people ever ask why girls and women are afraid to come forward, he is the reason.

The Trump administration is going to be in Federal Court trying to gut the whole healthcare law. Not just pre-existing conditions, not just Medicaid expansion. The whole thing. Republicans are coming after your healthcare. That’s not a slogan - that’s what’s happening today.
