Alice Lincoln
Vice President of Data Policy & Governance, MediaMath

Alice Lincoln, CIPP/US, is Vice President of Data Policy & Governance at MediaMath, where she is responsible for advising all internal teams on the development of products and business partnerships in compliance with global data protection laws and industry self-regulation. Responsible for MediaMath’s large global footprint, she has strong connections to self-regulatory groups around the world and a keen understanding of the challenges companies face when operating under a myriad of differing local codes. She works to establish internal data governance policies and procedures and ensure that those standards are communicated and adhered to. She is also responsible for cultivating MediaMath’s thought leadership in these areas and representing MediaMath on relevant committees and councils.

Alice has 15 years experience in digital marketing, data product development, and the protection of consumer privacy. In her career, Alice has led web development for a major international humanitarian relief charity and run a marketing and fundraising technology company serving national nonprofits and multiple presidential campaigns.

A chemist in a former life, Alice holds a BS from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MS from Stanford University.

Andy Dale
Vice President, Legal and Data Protection Officer

Andy Dale is Vice President of Legal and Data Protection Officer at DataXu, Inc., a technology company in the digital advertising space. He was the first lawyer hired by DataXu and manages all legal affairs for the company. In addition to general corporate issues, he holds the CIPP/US data privacy certification and focuses heavily on global data privacy, compliance with industry rules, and guidelines for interest-based advertising. Prior to his role with DataXu, Andy was a member of the legal team at TD Ameritrade (AMTD) and advised business units with respect to technology, commercial contracts, advertising/marketing, data privacy and intellectual property. Andy received his BA from Colgate University, his JD from University of Baltimore.

Ari Levenfeld
Chief Privacy Officer, Rocket Fuel Inc.

Ari Levefeld has spent the last ten years working in ad technology focusing specifically on compliance, editorial guidelines and brand safety. Before becoming a director at Rocket Fuel, Ari was a manager at Yahoo! Overseeing teams responsible for creating, optimizing search marketing campaigns for small and medium size business clients. He graduated from the University of Southern California.

In his leadership role at Rocket Fuel, he advances sustainable consumer friendly standards for digital advertising and brand safety. Rocket Fuel has served as a leader in advancing the broader digital advertising ecosystem, including serving as a founding member of IAB’s Traffic of Good Intent Task Force and Technology Task Force, and on the Ad Council’s Board of Directors and in providing support to the Mobile Marketing Association.

Brad Kulick
Senior Director of Privacy, Yahoo

Brad Kulick is an industry veteran with 20 years of experience in the Internet space. He has led both engineering and security teams during his time at Yahoo. Currently, Brad leads Yahoo’s global efforts on advertising and analytics privacy. In partnership with engineering and product teams, he helps implement Yahoo’s privacy practices with respect to personalization, data collection, use, and sharing. Brad graduated from DePauw University with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a minor in Education.

Brooks Dobbs
Chief Privacy Officer, KBMGroup

Brooks Dobbs is Chief Privacy officer for KBMGroup, a global leader in knowledge based marketing solutions, where he is responsible for global privacy compliance across member companies.

Brooks has worked with the NAI since its inception and is a former Chairman. He has recently served as an invited expert to the W3C’s Do Not Track working group and is an author of the W3C’s P3P, Platform for Privacy Preferences, specification. Brooks is frequent speaker on privacy and technology issues, and has worked in the drafting of numerous industry self-regulatory initiatives including: online preference marketing, behavioral advertising, web beacons usage, commercial email standards and Adware standards.

Prior to joining KBMG, Brooks served as the Chief Privacy Officer of Phorm, Inc. and as the VP of Government Affairs and DataProtection for DoubleClick, Inc.

Douglas Miller
Vice President and Global Privacy Leader, AOL; Chairman, NAI Board of Directors

Douglas Miller, CIPP, is Vice President and Global Privacy Leader at AOL Inc., overseeing a range of privacy operations including guidance, compliance, education, and planning.  Prior to becoming a full-time privacy professional in 1998, his AOL duties included child and teen protection, online conduct, content and advertising guidelines, anti-spam initiatives, and consumer safety and security.  Before joining AOL, he led government affairs for the Software Publishers Association.  From 2004-07, he taught courses in Internet Policy and Computer Ethics at Old Dominion University.  He has served on the Education Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Network Advertising Initiative.

Estelle Werth
Global Privacy Officer, Criteo

Estelle Werth is Global Privacy Officer at Criteo, a global leader in digital performance display advertising. Estelle manages risks and business impacts of privacy laws and regulation ensuring privacy protection of users.  Estelle implements and oversees privacy practices and policies at Criteo in an effort to sustainably empower users and build user trust on a framework that promotes transparency and user choice. 

Prior to joining Criteo, Estelle was an IT attorney at law at Ernst & Young law firm focusing on information technology, online services and data protection.

Ghita Harris-Newton
Chief Privacy Officer & Deputy General Counsel, Quantcast

Ghita Harris-Newton is Chief Privacy Officer & Deputy General Counsel at Quantcast. She is an expert in US and EU privacy and an industry veteran with over 18 years of legal experience in technology, media, litigation and consumer protection. Ghita holds CIPP/US and CIPP/E certifications and is active in industry organizations including the Future of Privacy Forum Advisory Board, IAB Europe Policy Committee and GDPR Implementation Working Group, and IAB UK Data & Privacy Subgroup. Prior to joining Quantcast, Ghita led the privacy program at Yahoo, as Assistant General Counsel and Head of Global Privacy Law and Privacy Policy. She is a graduate of Georgetown Law Center.

Jason Bier
EVP, General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer, Engine Media

Jason Bier is Chief Privacy Officer at Engine Group, EVP & General Counsel of Engine Media, the network’s global media services operating unit, and Founder & President of the Federation for Internet Alerts (FIA), of which Engine Group is a Partner. FIA distributes dynamic AMBER Alerts and weather warnings geographically through the Internet, and serves as a primary Alert Hub leveraging innovative technology to provide last mile access to alerts during disasters. FIA has been awarded by the 4A’s, The Webby Awards, and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for its work saving lives. Jason personally received the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s 2013 Service Excellence Award for his work protecting consumer privacy. His experience has been focused on privacy best practices for digital advertising, advising on issues ranging from privacy policy disclosures to data minimization, ad tech infrastructure design, privacy audits, data classification and governance matters. Jason has spent fifteen years as an attorney in the field of consumer privacy, and the last seven years leading industry self-regulation for Interest Based Advertising. He is a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and Pace University School of Law.

Julia Shullman
Senior Director, Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Privacy, AppNexus

As Senior Director, Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Privacy, in addition to counseling on commercial and product matters, Julia Shullman spearheads AppNexus’s global privacy work. She joined AppNexus in May 2014 and before focusing on privacy matters was the lead attorney for commercial and product matters for AppNexus’s Publisher Technology Group. Before AppNexus, Julia worked at UBM, a British information company where her practice focused on mergers and acquisitions and commercial matters. Prior to UBM, she was an associate at Latham & Wakins where she advised clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate matters. She received a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Georgetown University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Ken Dreifach
Shareholder, ZwillGen

Ken Dreifach sits on the NAI board on behalf of AdRoll, the retargeting and prospecting platform. Since 2000, Ken has served in a variety of high-profile roles in the digital advertising landscape: as a regulator, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, and currently as outside counsel to numerous NAI members and other web-based, mobile, and data services companies.

As LiveRamp’s General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer from 2010 to 2015, Ken helped pioneer the data “onboarding” model and privacy best practices related to it. Prior to that, Ken was Chief of the New York Attorney General’s Internet Bureau, where, among other privacy enforcement actions, he oversaw the investigation and settlement arising from DoubleClick’s purchase of Abacus, which set a key precedent regarding online data “merger” practices. Ken began his career as a judicial clerk for Judge Phyllis Kravitch (U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit) after graduating from NYU School of Law.

Matthew Haies
Senior Vice President & General Counsel, Xaxis

Matthew Haies is Senior Vice President, General Counsel at Xaxis, where he oversees the company’s worldwide legal strategy.  He previously served as General Counsel and Vice President, Privacy Strategy at AppNexus, where he built the company’s legal team from scratch.  Prior to that, Matt founded and was CEO of a privacy-focused startup, and also served for five years in senior legal and privacy roles at Google and DoubleClick.  Matt was formerly a corporate attorney at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, and holds a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
