  2. 9. As we've noted, State & Treasury Depts have designated AQ leaders in since July 2011. Obama admin found Iran = AQ's "core pipeline"

  3. 8. Previously released docs already showed that Bin Laden considered Iran the "main artery" for AQ's "funds, personnel, and communication."

  4. 7. ODNI's point on ("Hatred, suspicion of Iran...") is typically incomplete. Some docs show animosity between Iran & AQ. However...

  5. 6. ODNI provides talking points it wants readers to take away from OBL docs. But point of transparency is to encourage independent review.

  6. 5. One Obama admin official said OBL's files would fill a small "college library." "Several hundred documents" released doesn't come close

  7. 4. As longtime readers know, we advocated for the release of many more. The "several hundred documents" released by ODNI = Drop in bucket.

  8. 3. ODNI hopes this is last of the files it will have to release. Its announcement is titled, "Closing the Book on bin Laden."
