Simply great. All of my music available anytime I have an Internet connection. Update : bought a Chromecast Audio because I like this app so much. Playing one song is great but then it just stops. C'mon Google, get your act together. This app and the chromecast audio should be flawless together. I downloaded Rocket Player and that works great with the Chromecast Audio, but of course that doesn't have access to all of the music that I uploaded to Google. Ugh!

It's an okay app that used to work much better. The stations are really great, but I'm lucky to get more than 2 songs to stream in a row before the app freezes and I have to skip tracks and press play/pause obsessively until it gets to a track that'll play. That's hugely frustrating in the middle of a run. Not sure why a Google app works poorly on a Google Nexus phone. I do like the ability to add songs/albums to a wish list, and the music library interface is decent.

This when coupled with "All Access" is great, quick and allows unlimited offline listening without burning through data. Finally something comparable to Zune Pass/XBox Music pass on Android. I like the service, but it doesn't play the best with bluetooth connections though :/. Podcast support needs help. When I subscribe to a feed there is no way to select multiple or even singles for that matter to mark them as read. Kinda ruins it, especially when coupled with the fact that I can't rate/review the podcast. Also, a new development is that this app doesn't exist in the multitasking view anymore, quite frustrating.

Awesome Almost like Spotify just better. On thing better in this that spotify doesn't do is that when you shut the app accidentally it doesn't stop playing music. I have had this happen many, many times on spotify. What i tho do not like is how you're supposed to search music. Spotify was easier but still you can find music pretty easy. Since i own a Nexus phone, i have a 3 months for free wich is awesome. Also since this is already installed into the phone, you don't need to download any third party apps with this

Keep the updates coming. I enjoy this service for multiple reasons. I used to use this a lot in the beginning since it allowed me to listen to thousands of songs from my library just by streaming them. The addition of the music plan, which includes a low price for families for up to 6 people, PLUS ad-free YouTube (YouTube Red) included make it a easy choice.

Please reinstall the pull down refresh tool. It was seamless with that in place. Now it's tucked away and you have to go thru a bit to refresh your playlist after purchasing or uploading music. It's was perfect before, why change it now? After the last update, my album images along with the suggested radio images, no longer show. Why can't I fast forward certain songs? Not only that, the app won't play any music since it's latest update.

A few steps forward So great redesign,... However while you were adding features you remove a pretty useful one. When I'm viewing an artist album I can no longer touch their image to go to there artist. I have to navigate all the way back to my library etc. This ^ is now not working again...

Great design, but it is lacking in other areas. I remember being able to skip forward in tracks and now it is impossible to do so. Too many screen taps are required to return to other areas within the app. Lastly, for whatever reason when streaming to devices over Bluetooth the audio will cut out periodically. This occurs consistently via mobile or web app on desktop. Edit: the Bluetooth streaming bug makes it very difficult to enjoy music. ☹️

So damn unstable in connection with a Chromecast. Looses connection, can't play tracks, can't start radio, stops playback, works again after disconnecting and reconnecting (maybe). Buggy. Stand-alone it works pretty well. Although I would like to see the whole cover art, lyrics integration would be fine and the tracks available if one is not into pop and mainstream sometimes is awful. But I really enjoy device synching and the nice and easy to use GUI.

GMusic has a great library of music and their radio and top charts lists are great. BUT the biggest problem this app has is that, it's way too reliant on Wi-Fi, that when it's on, this app will constantly run in the background and keep your phone in the "awake" state. Only if you keep data on all day, would this app not be so awful as far as battery life.

One major issue. I have my thumbs up playlist set to save to my phone. But the button to unsave the playlist can be mistakenly pushed without even noticing until later, it then takes several GBs of my home wifi and about an hour of download time to undo the slip of a finger. I expect better from a premium subscription. I suggest a simple confimation message would solve this completely. I hope this can be fixed soon, thanks Google Play Team

I love the App. It pretty much does everything I need a Music App to do. It finds Almost Everything I look for to further my music library & allows me to make great mixes. The Equalizer could be better. It actually drops the Volume overall so I find myself turning it off just to get louder volume.

Very good app. I have been premium subscriber for awhile and it is very rare when I cannot find the album I am looking for. I highly recommend this app over Spotify. Only issue is the sharing. Had some issues with it. I wish it was more like Spotify's. Other than that, there are no complaints here. YouTube Red is a huge plus also.

I have no extra comments on this app, that's for smarter people who use the app to its full potential not like me. I am just an irregular user of this app, but maybe it will change in the near future cause I am very ill at the moment. But anyway thanks to the developer for the app that makes thousands of people happy.

Stuttering animations, problems with downloads: when entering wifi, the app will delete albums and download them again although it had downloaded them long before. Additionally, although everything has been downloaded, you will often see the notification that tracks can't be downloaded right now. Lastly, the music service is missing a proper API such as Spotify has. Also, I pay the same as Americans, yet do not profit from YouTube red or podcasts. (seriously? Region block podcasts?)

Before even if I was on WiFi or not my songs would play but now I have to be on WiFi or else I lose 90% of my songs and for someone who doesn't have much data in general it really annoying. I wish they would make it like before where you could play all of your music with or without WiFi

Ever since the recent update, it keeps giving a ridiculous amount of errors every 2-3 songs. You then have to open up the app and press pause and play multiple times or skip the songs which takes away from the few skips you do get for that play time usage. Its extremely frustrating and I refuse to use the app again until it's fixed.

It works great but Great selection of podcasts to stream. My main problem has been that when I listen to a podcast, instead of playing the next one after it ends it just stops playing and it makes no difference if I pre download the next episode. It will also sometimes stop playing in the last 10 minutes of a podcast and will not continue until I select the episode again and when I load the episode it starts playback 10 minutes earlier than when it stopped. I didn't have this problem until a few updates ago.

Sh! T App. Way poor Optimization. No Equalizer in New Update. Settings lag on a snap 820 powered phone. This shows that Google is getting unreliable day after day. Maps also have the same Damn optimization problem. They Designed it way better for the iShit 6/7. So maybe they are sell outs.

This is unacceptable! After the update last November, radio stations/suggestions appear on my homepage! I prefer having my albums on the homepage. After the update this week, the music buffers. Sometimes the music won't play at all! Plus, the music doesn't sync automatically. (Even though I turned on the auto sync option?) The Play Music app is terrible! The developers have no interest repairing the app. I might consider purchasing physical music format again.

Such a terrible app The fact that this is the default music download app for Android is pathetic. It should be more like iTunes (the king of music downloading) and if you're using this app for music streaming, let me tell you that there are far better apps for that out there, for instance, iHeartRadio, or Spotify

Auto - play on when connecting to bluetooth is annoying! Good app, minus the Bluetooth connection issues. I use an audiobook app more often than Google play music. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to stop Google Play music starting when I connect my bluetooth headset. It's frustrating!

Music app I use but buggy I love music and this app is great for me to manage my subscription and has all the songs I want. However, when connecting to my Google Chrome Cast it is so buggy. Like it doesn't play half my songs, says track can not be played, and doesn't pause/play when I want it to. Other than that the app itself is really good!

Simply the best! Been using Google Play Music since the Family Plan was released. Myself and the family love it. Has a pretty decent catalog (which could be added upon). The stations have some really good playlists depending on what mood you're in. My only criticism are the Podcasts. If it can tighten things up to the level of "Pocket Casts" and add to their music catalog this potentially can be the best audio streaming service in the market.

The nice thing about Google Play is how good it is at recommending me unpopular music that I end up liking. Spotify always recommended me the same popular bands. What Google Play needs is the option to search through your saved playlists, change the sort option of your playlist and fix the shuffle feature, sometimes when listening to my playlist of 511 songs so far I'll get a repeat just 5 songs after it previously played. Also it's not a very nice interface compared to Spotify, and there is no warning if you're adding the same song to a playlist unless it's the same song off the same album. 👎👎👎👎👎

I hate that radio stations are always. I just want to listen to MY music. Which has become way to cumbersome to get to. Lowered my rating 3/16/16: app gets more bloated with YouTube integration. Let's get back to basics guys. I already have a YouTube app for music videos. This app is for listening to my personal catalogue. Please re-optimize that experience 4/15/16: Experience still sucks. reducing rating from 2 stars to one. Looking for my music streaming replacement. Biggest Google let down since G+ killed Reader and Picasa.

Love the App, missing a few things, finally got a sleep timer, but now needs an alarm to wake up to in the morning. Seems like they go hand in hand. Also would like it to be easier to delete tracks from playlists in the Q. Only way is going back to playlist and deleting.

1. Very boring UI. 2. That music bars change its very buggy remove it or change its position and sync it with music. 3. Add a folder in menu. 4. Add some custom themes. 5. Add a feature that allows users to edit names of music or automatically download information and album art like musixmatch . 6. There are many things to be changed I can't write now.

The app was much better about 7-8 releases earlier. It feels as though the more bug fixes are introduced, the slower it gets. Only noticeable improvements are in the fact that album/song art stores and displays correctly offline now. It also now randomly says it's "downloading" something, when I know for sure I haven't changed my playlist. P sure this is a bug as the "downloads" complete in seconds

It just deleted all the albums on my SD card and now it won't let me save anything to it. All I see is a notification that says insufficient storage but when I check it says that the storage location is my SD card and that has over 40 GB of room. Also there is another notification that won't go away.

Wish there was better access to music. I think its too expensive. Now not only are there subscriptions to purchase but they just like all other music sites. If i want my full music libray and access to cheap music, ill stick with itunes. you dont have to have a mac or iphone to use iTunes. Android and pc works too. Thx for thr sell out Google music

This is out of control Google Play Music! This app has so many issues it's truly unbelievable. We all pay for a service yet we get screwed everyday by the subpar operation of your app, that's just not fair. Every time we get an "update" the performance of your app gets worse. Why don't you listen to us? We are through begging and pleading for a fix. Thanks to you I've lost all hope in mankind, I've lost all hope forever.

It's OK. But there it's still not as seamless as other players. Its very sluggish for a music player and always freezes up at random. If I'm paying 9.99 a moth I expect the app to seamless and run smoothly even when offline. This type of bullshit is unacceptable it has been a problem for years WTF are you guys even doing over there?

Not the product I have come to expect from Google I have tried and tried to love GPM because usually Google puts out such great aps. However, GPM misses the mark. Navigation is a pain. It stops working when the phone gets cold (skiing). It automatically switches off download only mode if you ask Google to play you a song from your sim card. Overall interface is just plain disappointing. Google - please rebuild this ap from the ground up!

Best subscription money can buy at the moment. YouTube Red with my Google music subscription?? Can't live without this subscription anymore. Death to ads. Bring on the endless music!🤘 The one gripe I have about this app: For the love of all that is holy, please add a dark theme or night time switch... The white background of this app is absolutely blinding. Even with brightness set to the lowest setting, I have to squint. A simple Google search proves that others want this. Help a subscriber out!

The app can be laggy and the interface is a little hard to navigate. It takes ages and ages to load a song here while on Spotify, songs will load instantly. Also, I'm subscribed to the full premium version yet I CANT SCRUB THROUGH SONGS!! I don't understand why I can't pick a certain spot in a song to listen to! It's ridiculous!!!

Bretty gud music player + good update Interface is nice and clean, the only issue is the music selection which is usually disappointing compared to music giants like iTunes or Spotify. Would like to see a better YouTube integration maybe being able to add music from YouTube to playlists but I know DRM and licenses are a hassle

So many problems that didn't used to be. When listening to stations, I get a music playback error every two songs and have to constantly be starting the station over again. This is for any station I play. Also, it doesn't have the option to be set as the default music application on your phone, so both Bluetooth and usb are an impossibility when it comes to playing music off your Google playlist. Even if you have your music library downloaded for offline play.

It's fixed the last few issues I mentioned, but the app really needs a revision. They keep adding needless features, making it run quite poorly even on a most recent device. I just want to be able to listen to my uploaded library. I don't want radio or podcasts or anything. Edit: Everytime I open the app it takes me to the listen now page instead of where I left off in my library. Super annoying.

Am not able to get all those new options like listening to music and above pictures that are displayed. I saw it only once come up when updated After that,its normal.
