I have no doubt that the new US administration will usher in a new era

and would have vetoed this disgraceful resolution.

It was to be expected that Israel's greatest ally would act in accordance with the values that we share -

Neither the Security Council nor UNESCO can sever the tie between the people of Israel and the land of Israel.

We call on the US to stand by us and we expect our greatest ally to continue with its long-standing policy and to veto this resolution.

This resolution is a Palestinian initiative which is intended to harm Israel.

We are continuing our diplomatic efforts on all fronts to ensure that this disgraceful resolution will not pass the Security Council.

We expect our greatest ally not to allow this one-sided and anti-Israel resolution to be adopted by the Council.

to convene and discuss condemning the only true democracy in the Middle East.

It is absurd that at a time when thousands are being massacred in Syria, the Security Council is devoting time and energy

and will only reward the Palestinian policy of incitement and terror.

Terror is terror, and the international community must present a united front and fight it together.

During this time the UN passed 223 resolutions condemning Israel while only 8 resolutions condemning the Syrian regime. This is absurd.
