Based on high demand from our APN Partners, we are excited to introduce the AWS Navigate Program, which provides a prescriptive path for APN Partners to build a specialized practice on AWS. It offers APN Partners the guidance to become AWS experts and deploy innovative solutions on behalf of AWS customers. We are launching AWS Navigate for Contact Center, Microsoft Workloads, End User Computing, and Financial Services, with more tracks coming later this year.

ConsenSys is an APN Advanced Technology Partner that is enabling consortiums—that is, associations of two or more companies—to launch and operate enterprise blockchain networks on AWS without spending months and millions of dollars writing custom code. Kaleido Blockchain Business Cloud platform is the first managed blockchain SaaS available on AWS Marketplace and takes customers all the way from concept to consortium.

Since AWS has announced that all our services comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we wanted to explore some of the ways AWS can help you on your road to compliance. As part of the onboarding process when joining the AWS Service Delivery Program, APN Partners must go through a technical audit of their experience delivering AWS services to end customers. This audit is conducted by internal technical experts who validate the APN Partner’s knowledge and capabilities for a specific AWS service. To help APN Partners better understand this process and our designation requirements, we are introducing AWS Service Delivery Validation Checklists that provide visibility into the criteria we use during an organization’s technical validation.

In this post, we explore how Infosys is leveraging AWS to provide clients with a solution based on Boundaryless Architecture. Historically, mainframes have hosted core-business processes, applications, and data, all of which are blocked in these rigid and expensive systems. AWS and Attunity can liberate mainframe data in real-time, enabling customers to exploit its full business value for data lakes, analytics, innovation, or modernization purposes. In this post, we describe how customers use Attunity Replicate real-time data streaming to put mainframe core-business data onto AWS.

With assistance from Bright Wolf, an APN Advanced Technology Partner with the AWS IoT Competency, Pentair adopted a standardized IoT platform and tool set based on AWS. Bright Wolf helps companies develop connected product systems across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, smart building, and heavy equipment. With its new IoT platform based on AWS, Pentair can quickly and flexibly deliver connected solutions for virtually any scenario across all business units.

Cloud Insight Essentials is an Alert Logic solution available in AWS Marketplace. It is a vulnerability assessment solution allowing customers to find risky configurations that go against AWS Security Best Practices. The solution does this by analyzing AWS APIs and scanning AWS CloudTrail events looking for unsafe configurations. Cloud Insight Essentials also provides security context for the complete list of Amazon GuardDuty findings so customers can take short- and long-term actions to reduce potential security threats.

We are excited to add Linux support to our AWS Quick Start for Tableau Server on AWS. This Quick Start automatically deploys Tableau Server in a standalone or cluster environment on the AWS cloud, and now you can deploy on Linux in addition to Microsoft WindowServer. With this update, customers now have the ability to deploy on Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) running two different flavors of Linux.

Amazon FreeRTOS code for ESP32 is now available on the Amazon FreeRTOS GitHub repository. Espressif Systems is a multinational, fabless semiconductor company that has been focused on producing connected microcontrollers and System-on-Modules (SoMs) for the emerging mobile and IoT markets. Espressif has worked diligently to connect a number of their popular IoT SoMs to AWS IoT services. In this post, we discuss how to start running Amazon FreeRTOS on ESP32 in order to connect to AWS IoT Core.
